Areas of Focus this year

Shinguards: Must be placed two inches above the ankle for safety purposes, all shinguards, they must meet NOCSAE requirements and have NOCSAE marking for age and height

Simulating fouls or the severity of fouls: A caution must be issued when a player commits simulation of a foul or uses simulation to enhance the severity of a foul.

Profanity: Incidental profanity earns a caution.

Dismissed Coaches: Once a coach has been dismissed from the field, any return to the field before the match is over terminates the match without any further warning.

Rule 1

Rule 3
Substitutions

Both teams:

 
    Between halves
    Goal Kick
    Restart after Goal Scored
    Play stopped for injury and player attended on the field (Player must leave and may be replaced)
    Must substitute the player when cautioned or disqualified as per 12.8.2
  Possession On a Throw-In (if ready, other team can sub)
    On corner kick (if ready other team can sub)
  Note: On a Penalty Kick, the only sub permitted is for injury or caution and sub may not take the penalty kick.
Players may be added to the roster after the start of the games
Rule 4
Uniforms Home Team - light color contrasting color
    Visiting Team - Dark color contrasting color
  Socks All must be same color with a single dominant color (no stripes)
  Note: Shorts and stockings of the goalkeeper are not required to match his teammates.

Uniform numbers

CIF rule:-Goalkeeper may not wear a jersey with any advertising

Medical release signed by a physician required for players wearing casts or splints
On front and back, 4" and 6"
Rule 5
Winner of coins toss can chose which goal to attack or kick off

Rule 7
Clock is stopped at appropriate times; time is not added

Clock stops for: penalty kick, caution, disqualification, when a goal is scored, all other times when the referee orders the clock to be stopped.

Rule 9
After a temorary suspension of play eg, injury, outside agent or unusual situation, if one team had clear possession of the ball, the restart is IFK to the team with possession

Rule 12
Coaches may be shown yellow and/or red card


Cautioned player must leave the field and may be replaced (includes goalkeeper)


Player red carded at half time may be replaced


Red/yellow card is used when a second caution is given to a player


Dangerous play against a team mate is IFK

Rule 15
Throw in that does not enter field of play, ball is awarded to other team to take the throw in.




Kick form the Penalty Mark
Any eligible player can participate, not just those on the feild of play when time expired




CIF Ruling
Noisemakers are prohibited inside stadiums or playing fields at any CIFSS contest.  This includes, horns, bells, sirens or any other musical instrument other than those in the team band
Any improper use of noisemakers by suppoters of a team would subject that team to possible forfeiture of the contest
